Naturopathy and herbal medicine are natural and non-invasive therapies that maintain good health and treat ill health. Naturopathy and herbal medicine combine knowledge of sciences such as anatomy and physiology with old-fashioned common sense and experience. They are classified as wholistic therapies, meaning they treat the ‘whole’ person not the disease. The aim is to keep the mind and emotions, body and lifestyle in balance. Various diagnostic techniques such as iridology are used in a consultation to identify factors causing ill health. Treatment may involve dietary changes, herbal medicines, flower essences, nutritional supplements or bodywork. Naturopathy and herbal medicine treat various acute and chronic conditions such as; digestive and bowel disorders, hormonal related problems such as acne, premenstrual symptoms and infertility, skin conditions, fatigue, low immunity and more. Naturopaths and Herbalists spend a minimum of 3 years full time study.
